At your initial consultation, we will be asking you about your background with regards to what has brought you in for counseling. From there, we can offer you an idea with how to navigate your particular issue(s). While therapy is not guaranteed to work, we do believe that sharing the problem lessens the burden as a means to get it out there. Suffering thrives in secrecy.

Nik Protasenia is a licensed therapist living on the South Shore of Massachusetts. He has been serving for nearly a decade, and offers services in Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Hampshire and Florida. Brooke Valicenti is a Masters Level Therapist working under Nik's supervision. She lives in Florida and serves patients in Florida and Massachusetts.

We are located at 99 Derby Street in Hingham, MA. Our location is easily accessible off of Route 3. For patients living in Florida, New Jersey, and New Hampshire telehealth services can be provided.

Individual Counseling
We provide individual counseling for our patients. Some of the areas of interest that we serve our people living with depression, anxiety, difficult life transitions, chronic illness support, sports/performance psychology, alcohol and other substance use.
Substance Use Evaluations
When you are ordered by legal entities like probation or parole or even the Department Of Children and Families to receive a substance use evaluation you must meet with a licensed professional that specializes with alcohol and substance use. This process take a minimum of two sessions but can take up to four sessions. Once completed, the mandating entity will receive a copy of the completed evaluation before you do. The service cost is $300 and is not covered by health insurance.
Costs and Fees
The first session cost is $200 and every session thereafter cost is $150. Substance Use Evaluations cost $300 and are not covered by insurance. There is a late cancel fee of $50 if you cancel your appointment with less than 24 hours notice. There is a no show fee of $150 in the event that you do not show for an appointment.
Insurance vs. Cash Pay
Victorious Counseling Services does accept most major health insurances in Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Hampshire, and Florida. Insurance is a great option to reduce up front costs. With insurance, however, a medical diagnosis will be on your record. This may impact people seeking to obtain firearms permits, engage in certain employment like the armed forces, first responders, and any endeavor that can be restrictive. Cash pay provides enhanced confidentiality since there will not be a diagnosis on your medical record.
Teletherapy
In the age of COVID-19, teletherapy became a new way of interaction for therapists and patients. While in person therapy can be the choice for many, teletherapy allows us to engage in the comfort of a location of our choosing and provides immediate access. Patients living in New Jersey, New Hampshire, and Florida will have to use teletherapy. Zoom is the preferred platform for teletherapy since it is HIPPA compliant. You will be given a password protected link so it is important not to share this with anyone else.
